Buyer journey for new gas turbines

1. Lock the duty before the brand — continuous behind-the-meter campus, mining baseload, peaking, bridge power, or hybrid thermal-plus-renewables. Duty decides Frame vs aeroderivative themes and package architecture.
2. Lock frequency early — 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Frequency conversion is not a free late schedule fix.

What “new” means on an inventory-led path

• Factory-new OEM path — green-field queues, factory configuration freedom, longer schedule risk if the OEM book is full.
• New / new-surplus inventory — unused or lightly used packages already in the market; often the fastest route when frequency and documentation align.
